Xiaomi is one of the latest entrants to the smart TV market, but the company has quickly established its presence as a strong player in this segment. Currently, it is a leading smart TV brand in China and a few other global markets including India.

Now, Xiaomi is all set to take the wraps off the new Mi TV 5 series at an event in its home market China on November 5. While we just a day ahead of the launch event, the company has teased the details of the upcoming smart TV. The teaser has revealed almost all the design aspects of the Mi TV 5.
Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Details
Well, the company has confirmed that the Mi TV 5 will arrive with a comprehensive full-screen design. It is seen to have relatively narrower bezels than that of the Mi TV 4 measuring 1.8mm. Notably, this is touted to have 47.1% narrower bezels than that of the predecessor.
Xiaomi also revealed that the metal body of the TV will have an integrated bending frame, a thickness of just 5.9mm and a backplate sans screws. One of the previous teasers shared by Xiaomi gave us a glimpse of the right of the Mi TV 5. It showed the 'Designed by Xiaomi' text and the slim form factor of the TV.
Previously, it was confirmed that the Mi TV 5 series will have a 12nm T972 chipset with 8K video recording support. The other aspects that we know about the Mi TV 5 include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage space and a 4K QLED panel with 108% NTSC wide color gamut. The Quantum Dot panel is said to be supplied by Samsung, which leads the industry.
What We Think
Given that its predecessors came with LED or LCD panels, it seems like Xiaomi is eying to foray the premium market segment. We are sure that Xiaomi Mi TV 5 series will be a success given the design and its attractive specifications. Along with this smart TV, the company is also gearing up to take the wraps off a smartwatch[1], the Mi CC9 Pro[2] and a portable air conditioner.
